    Understanding Pensions

“All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered. The point is to discover them first”

    (Galileo Galilei, 1564 – 1642)

Do you have a number of pensions, whether they be old or current, and yet you hear yourself say something like …

“I have all these pensions but don’t really know what I’ve got ?”

Don’t worry. You’re not alone. We are finding that many of our clients have never quite got to grips with their pensions but that could well be down to the constant changes to the pensions system. Over the years, clients have found that they have collected “bits of information” and would really liked to have understood how their pension worked.

However, it all seemed a bit too much, a tad too complicated and instead, have continued to just pay their monthly pension contributions as regular as the day dawned and the night fell.

We hope that Opening Doors Finance can help you understand your pensions as much or as little as you are comfortable with. We have to confess that the pension rules are quite complex; there’s no getting away from that. Nevertheless, you are a “pension investor” and when bad economic times come around for us all, we are more likely to continue investing in something that we understand. Paying into something without any real knowledge of whether the payoff is likely to happen, can make us nervous and could lead to a poor decision, a poor choice.

We want to do our utmost to help you understand the upside and the downside of the financial decisions you take.

So, do feel free to contact us by telephone or email. Alternatively, let us know your Financial Advice query here and we will be glad to assist.
